Thomas Swift Hutton (1860-1935)
Thomas Swift Hutton was born in Edinburgh and lived in Glasgow and Wavertree, Liverpool, for a while before moving to Newcastle. Hutton began exhibiting aged 27 at major galleries (Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, Dudley Gallery, London) and throughout the British Isles including at the Royal Academy, the Bewick Club, and the Royal Scottish Academy. He painted beautiful scenes of Northumberland, the North East coast, Yorkshire and Scotland, mainly in watercolours.
