Most of Thomas Swift Hutton's paintings are of North East and Scottish but, despite the distinctive mountain, we have had difficulty locating this scene. However, we have now been advised, by someone much more knowledgeable than us, that this lovely watercolour is of Lochranza Castle on the beautiful island of Arran. We'll give it a space at the front of the website, at least for a while, on the strength of this new information!
