Rodney Joseph Burn R.A. was known for figure paintings as well as for landscapes and seascapes. Studied under Henry Tonks and Wilson Steer. Teacher at Royal College of Art, and also at Boston Museum School of Fine Arts in America. But this is the only complete work of fairies that we have seen by this artist. A lovely subject indeed.
