One of two quite sumptuous paintings by Ryland in the most delicate of hues and handling, quite in keeping with the subject and pre-Raphaelite manner. From 1890 he exhibited 21 paintings in the Royal Academy and his style was said to be a combination of Alma Tadema and Albert Moore.
Cleaned, de-foxed, de-acidified and backed onto acid free paper.
Presented in a lovely mount and hand made frame.
