A small and beautiful oil depicting an artist showing her portfolio to a smartly dressed gentleman. In excellent condition, attributed to Francis Sydney Muschamp who specialised in genre scenes of the past, his work often portraying classical and baroque lifestyles. He was influenced by classical artists of the era, notably Lawrence Alma-Tadema and Lord Leighton.
