Surprisingly this painting is wrongly inscribed by the artist himself on the painting 'Farquhart Castle. NB.'
It may have been the first time Krause visited this spot or perhaps someone told him the name after a few drams! NB stands for 'North Britain' and not, as some supposed, an obscure academy title.
