"To me the meanest flower that blows can give
Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears."
Untouched orginal condition with some fine craquelure this charming painting is housed in its original, substantial, John Davidson (Glasgow) frame. Exhibited at Dundee Fine Art Exhibition, signed and dated 1878 l.r. and titled verso on the exhibition label.
