William Meadows (1825-1901)
Sorting out the details of the artist William Meadows is not as easy as one would expect. He was the son of the well-known artist James Meadows, but he seems to have lived a rather chaotic life, perhaps because of financial difficulties, and changed his name several times. In spite of that, his paintings were very tranquil scenes of either landscape or of Venice.
