1800's humour; side-splitting stuff... Ink and watercolour on paperboard, unsigned, but clearly Thackeray's work and writing. Inscribed on back "Orig. Watercolour by Wm. M. Thackeray. From the Bronson Winthrop Collection, prior to conservation. Oak gall ink so delicately cleaned.
