Hardy sheep graze the Lake District uplands on an early-autumn day. The heather bloom is fading, the bracken auburn in annual retreat, and the wind blows wisps of cloud around mountain peak. We haven't yet determined the location, but are working on it. Super quality, and large, Lakin Turner oil in a good gilt frame, both in excellent condition. Signed lower left, and dated verso 1918.
