William Bradley Lamond (1857-1924)
William Bradley Lamond RBA was a Scottish painter born in the village of Newtyle, north of Dundee. Lamond had no formal art training, began with portraits progressing to impressionistic seascapes and landscapes. Exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal Scottish Academy and Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts and was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1906. Today his works can be seen at the Fleming Collection, Dundee Art Galleries and Museums, and the Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries.
