Stunning example of the work of, in our opinion, the finest of the Watson family, at least from the examples we've had the pleasure of selling recently. Surprisingly this is in fact a scene in Wales as detailed by the original inscription on the back of the canvas the details of which we have kept as the canvas is relined to stabilise the pigment. In the original frame that is in good order.
