A peaceful moment on the Thames at Isleworth Middlesex. The 14th century tower of All Saints church is clad in ivy and to the left Georgian buildings and the London Apprentice pub, a licensed inn since 1731. On the right, the Syon Ferry pavilion. We think this painting is pre-1870. In that year two prominent red brick houses, 55&57 Church Street, were completed and in this painting Church Street housing is all Georgian. Faint initials H.P. as yet unidentified but research ongoing.
