This is indeed a 'show stopper'! It would be so easy to resort to superlatives as it is so commanding a painting. This is Richardson displaying his ample talents to the extreme. A wonderful scene and one which would add power to any collection given a large space! Superbly conservator cleaned and with the original framing.
