Thomas Harrison Hair (1810-1875)
Landscape, industrial and marine painter in oil and watercolour as well as engraver and etcher. Born in Scotswood, near Newcastle. He worked on industrial scenes at the same time as Carmichael was working on railway scenes , together with more conventional landscapes and marine scenes. From 1838 he worked largely in London. Represented British Museum, Hatton Gallery, Laing Shiply art Gallery.
