A panoramic harbour view that Hardy loved and a fairly rare view of North Shields, River Tyne. Below the High light fishing boats unload and on this wet morning the fish market is busy. Beyond, the training ship/'Industrial School,' the Wellesley, and left HMS Castor, the naval training ship. Cleaned and conserved, signed and inscribed lower left.
