Stephen Dadd Skillett (1816-1866 (act.c.1835-1865))
Stephen Dadd Skillett was a British marine artist who specialized in the painting of ships (often named). He lived in Limehouse, London, first exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1844 and a further seven works to 1856. Skillett's paintings can be seen in the National Martime Museum, Greenwich, and the Walker Art Gallery, London.
