Lamorna Birch continues to grow in our estimation. His work is very varied but one often finds rivers and streams with a lone fisherman. Birch was an avid fly fisherman and we wonder if he was depicting himself in these views? From time to time we discover dedicated sketches and watercolours - usually on the front - and the occasional oil dedicated to the reverse as this is. His own little fly stream at Lamorna often figures in his works and we are certain these dedicated pictures are to fellow fishermen of the same spirit.
