Upright Watson of cattle watering in Glen Finart, Argyll and Bute. A cattle drover stops to let his Highland cattle (and dog) drink from the river. One might interpret that the donkey is also his and that the woman is not of the farmstead but is accompanying him. They are probably en route to market, it is September, and it's a fine day with languid white smoke from a turf-fuelled fire hanging in the still valley air. Signed, lower right.
