Communion at l'eglise Saint-Jacques, Liege, Belgium, the church of the Benedictine Abbey of St James founded in 1015, with detailed Gothic rood screen. The church is an impressive mixture of Roman, Gothic and Renaissance architecture with a finely-decorated interior. Cleaned and conserved, signed and dated, Xmas 1862, lower left and inscribed 'Rood Screen to High Altar, Liege, Belgium, lower right.
