Peter McGregor Wilson (1856-1928)
Well respected and versatile Scottish artist in both oil and watercolour of landscapes, genre scenes, portraits, marine, and animal studies. Attended Glasgow School of Art and later studied in Antwerp and London. Travelled widely including to America, Russia, India, Persia and Arabia. Royal Scottish Watercolour Society member for four decades Wilson also exhibited at both the Royal Scottish Academy and at the Royal Academy. Today works held in collections of Glasgow, Campbelltown, and North Lanarkshire museums.
