Bucolic oil on panel landscape attributed to Patrick Nasmyth. Cows graze as two farmhands rest under the shade of the oak trees by the pond, possibly stopping for lunch, as a woman and boy pass by on the the nearby lane. The boy is carrying a long pole which seems to have a pointed end, but perhaps is just a fishing rod.
