This is a fine earlier example of Norman Cornish's work, as attested by the original price tag on the reverse of 850 pounds. The scene depicts the Village Square and Chapel (now demolished) at Spennymoor together with a number of children - a very happy scene. Very suitably framed and with an Anderson and Garland provenance from 2010 as well.
