An exquisite Birket Foster watercolour and gouache on wove paper of a woman filling a water jug at the well. Some slight paper discolouration (now stabilized) but it doesn't detract from this wonderful example of Foster's skill. Monogram lower right and the original label denoting this watercolour was purchased from Christies - most probably Foster's estate sale following his death.
