A late afternoon scene at Cullercoats harbour full of detailed observations and with a most wonderful skyscape, the subtle colourings and beauty of which the camera doesn't quite manage to fully reveal. Larger than the typical Birket Foster this superb watercolour is in excellent condition and has been conserved to ensure it remains so for years to come. Monogrammed and annotated lower left.
