A post-war Boxing day or New Year's day hunt (perhaps) and a superb example of artist Michael Lyne, a passionate huntsman and one of the foremost sporting artists of the 20th century. Riders thunder by with fine sweeping views across the farmed plains to snow covered hills. We believe this hunt to be somewhere in the Chilterns (but if you know better please drop us a ly.. no, I can't, an email). None of that health and safety piffle in 1947, a top hat will suffice..! Signed and dated, lower left.
