A beautiful, signed, watercolour of an elegant woman watching over her daughter (presumably) as she practises her lace embroidery creating a sampler. They are seated in front of a glass-fronted display cabinet and an ornate wallpaper or wall mural. Watercolour, pencil, heightened white, with scratching out/paper a lovely delicate example of this well respected artist, very typical of her style. From a private collection but complete with a London saleroom provenance where it was acquired by the previous owner in 2006.
