Louis Bosworth Hurt (attributed) (1856-1929)
Louis Bosworth Hurt was a Derbyshire landscape artist best known for his paintings of the Scottish highlands and his portrayal of highland cattle. He trained under George Turner and while he painted Derbyshire moors he seems to have preferred the Scottish wilderness. He exhibited at the Royal Academy (13) and at Suffolk Street. His works can be seen in museums and art galleries of: Reading, Manchester, Sheffield, Stirling, Perth, Dundee and the Russell-Cotes.
