A superb John Wilson Carmichael seascape in excellent condition, with strong colours and a 'sunny disposition'. In a fine swept frame, signed and dated 1854.
Acquired from a collection abroad, so very fresh to the market. The painting came to us in excellent original condition but needed relining and a light clean, which was only to be expected after 165 years.
