A beautiful painting of fishing boats working close in to the shore, possibly the North East or Yorkshire coast. Swift's works are not common and rarely come on the market these days. Framed in a lovely period frame. The painting is nicely signed and dated 1866. Update ! The topography of the coast bears a strong resemblance to the painting illustrated in the artists of Northumbria by Marshall Hall and in the borough of Darlington art collection entitled 'Off Flamborough.'
