John Shapland (1865-1929)
John Shapland was a British artist who lived in Exeter and painted seascapes, coastal scenes and landscapes, mostly in watercolours. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, Paris Salon, and was principal of the Exeter School of Art from 1899 until 1913.
