Superb atmospheric Slater oil painting of a steam trawler preparing for sea, its crew just embarked from the smaller boat and the trawler's engines started. Weak sunshine just manages to penetrate the morning mist and where it does illuminates the green of the sea. Probably the river Tyne/North Shields. Signed, lower right.
