Lovely example of Slater's prolific work by the North East coast. Slater must have been in his favourite North East coastal spot when this caught his eye, and he was inspired to capture the subject. He did paint gardens, flowering trees in a wood for instance, but this is just quite unusual for him and a very decorative result.
