Slater takes a break from windswept shores, misty Highlands and mucky farmyards and paints a cottage garden. A woman knits or darns as she sits outside under old English roses and clematis that arch over her cottage door while hens scratch around in the garden. Looks tranquil doesn't it? Signed, lower right.
