Fantastic Slater of the walled gardens at Alnwick castle, vibrant in summer flower. A riot of colour in the beds around the pond, a profusion of roses cover the arch, with the elegant blue delphiniums contrastingly nicely with the rich foliage of Prunus cerasifera (purple-leaved plum) and red brick wall. Slater put a lot of work into this one. Signed, lower right.
