The High and Low lights of North Shields
Medium: Watercolour
Size without frame: 7.0" x 11.0"
Size including frame: 15.0" x 19.0"

Second of a pair of en plein air watercolours by Liddell (the other, 'Cullercoats') this one looks across the mouth of the Tyne and the Fish Quay lights at dusk. It looks as if the figures are fishing or looking for shellfish in the rocks exposed at low tide. Signed, lower right.
