Lovely Atkinson watercolour of wheat being harvested on a dry summer's day. The horse-drawn harvester cuts and binds the wheat into sheaves as women, probably of the farmer's family and neighbours, wait to gather up and stack the sheaves (10-12) into a stook. The attire of the age making it very hot work for the women no doubt. Signed, lower right.
