James Peel (1811-1906)
James Peel was a prolific painter of English views who worked in the Northumberland and the North East of England, including the Lake District and North Wales. James Peel's paintings were exhibited at the RBA (248 works), and at the Royal Accademy. Peel's style was very naturalistic and his colouring was very similar to that of Benjamin Williams Leader (1831-1923).
