James Garden Laing (1852-1915)
James Garden Laing was an Aberdeen painter of landscapes and city scenes and seems to have travelled widely in Europe and also Egypt. Elected to the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour (RSW) in 1885, later marrying Glasgow artist Annie Rose Low (1898).
