Herbert Sidney Percy (1863-1932)
Herbert Sidney Percy was the youngest son of the celebrated landscape artist Richard Sidney Percy (Williams). He studied for six years at the Royal Academy Schools and was awarded two silver medals. He painted landscapes, miniatures and was frequently commissioned to paint portraits. A friend of the writer GK Chesterton, some of Chesterton's books are illustrated with Percy's engravings. Percy exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Academy.
