Henry Ryland RI (1856-1924)
Henry Ryland was a painter, watercolourist and also a decorator and designer. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1890 as well as elsewhere. Ryland's style is very similar to Alma-Tadema and Albert Moore and his work is very much of that high standard. His usual subjects were of young women in classical draperies on marble terraces.
