This is a smaller version of the painting by Perlee Parker in the Liverpool Art Gallery from which the lithographs of the same subject were made. We have seen one of these lithographs which stated on the reverse: 'This is a paint of the "Milk boys" the painting of which is in the Liverpool Art Gallery - slightly different to my painting of the same subject (mentioned in the Perlee Parker will in the study), it is in the hall - Wili Cowling (daughter of PP)'
