Harry James Sticks (1867-1938)
Harry James Sticks, son of Henry Sticks and nephew of George Blackie Sticks, practiced as a professional artist in oils and watercolours, painting many landscape subjects in Northumberland, Durham, Scotland and the Lake District. He appears to have produced predominantly small scale paintings. Exhibited regularly at the Bewick Club and, outside Northumbria, at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours. Represented at the Laing and the Shipley art galleries.
