George Pyne (1801-1884)
George Pyne was a watercolourist of interiors and architecture, and occasionally of views. He was born in 1800 or 1801 and died in 1884. Son of William Henry Pyne (1769 - 1843) who was a renowned artist who exhibited in the Royal Academy from 1790. George Pyne exhibited at Suffolk Street, associated with the Old Watercolour Society, from 1827. Examples of his work are in the Victoria and Albert Museum.
