Nicely presented and charming Kilburne watercolour of a young lady playing the spinet, a small harpsichord. We have all been there - made to pose by parents for a portrait (albeit these days for a photograph). While Kilburne's subject has her hair curled, mouche in place and is wearing a fine dress she does rather look as if she'd rather be somewhere else. Signed and dated '77, lower left.
