George Edward Horton (1859-1950)
Wreck off the Black Middens
Medium: Watercolour
Size without frame: 10.0" x 12.0"
SOLD
A nice rendition of foul weather over the Tyne. Full of swirls and flicks of colour. Until the Tyne was properly dredged the Middens were notorious for claiming ships. Horton steadily gains admirers and in many ways he was ahead of his time.
