Typical rendering by Horton of a breezy day at the Mouth of The Tyne. Horton painted in this area often producing many differing moods. Sometimes his watercolours of this subject were as large as three feet wide. The smaller ones of this view, such as this one, are better otherwise the slight washes begin to weaken.
