Shown here is Carrick Castle. Built ,probably,in the 12th. century it was a seat of the Clan Lamont whos origins were in Ireland and they had connections with the Scandinavian lords of the isles.Taken over by the Campbells it became a hunting lodge for the Kings of Scotland and was visited by Mary Queen Of Scots in 1563.
