A fabulous and detailed painting of a slightly solemn looking woman lost in thought as she arranges roses in the vase. The intricate patterns of both her dress and the tablecloth stand out against the background of the plainly decorated panelled walls. Signed lower left with an as yet unidentified monogram which may possibly be a later addition.
