In lovely gallery condition and with a washline mount, as shown. (Coming in the near future by the same artist a large watercolour but this time of the Henley Regatta.)The Dictionary Of British Artists-Antique Collectors Club-lists Althause as a marine painter and Victorian Paintings-Christopher Wood- as painting mostly scenes of Devon and Cornwall coasts and views in Wales and the Lake District so these two examples either disprove those statements or they are an amazing departure from the norm!
